Candidate Statement

As your candidate for California Assembly District 18, I, Ned Nuerge, fully support the statements and principles I have laid out for this campaign. 

The Preamble to our Constitution commands us to promote the general welfare by enabling every citizen’s inalienable right to pursue a satisfying life of productive work that benefits both the individual and the nation. Government must never hand out happiness, health, housing, or unity; it must exemplify those conditions and clear the path so that strong families can build them for themselves. That is why I take the mountain-top view of our Republic and insist that our representatives be beholden solely to their constituents, never to financial interests. Only then can we restore the American System of Political Economy—credit for infrastructure, opportunity for every citizen, and true national sovereignty—so that California families can once again be happy, healthy, fed, housed, and united.

Mia Bonta’s ideology traps people into a No Future. By expanding government dependency, prioritizing special interests over working families, and embracing policies that erode personal responsibility and economic sovereignty, her approach locks Californians into permanent reliance on Sacramento instead of freeing them to build their own lives. It replaces the pursuit of happiness with the pursuit of entitlements, weakens families as the foundation of our strength, and turns our state into a place where opportunity is rationed by bureaucrats rather than earned through honest work. The result is a generation that sees no path forward—only more rules, more debt, and less hope.

That is exactly why the people of Assembly District 18 should support me. Where the current representative offers only continued decline, I offer a clear alternative: representatives who answer to you alone, an end to the Federal Reserve’s grip on our economy, and the restoration of the historic American System that built this nation. I ask you to join me in taking the mountain-top view, reclaiming our responsibilities as citizens, and building the future our families deserve. Together we can make California Assembly District 18 the model for a sovereign, prosperous, and united Republic once again.
